Best Time for a Skiing Holiday 2012

Best time to take a Skiing Holiday 2012

Skiing Holidays 2012Skiing Holidays 2012 season is here & snow is falling at most Alpine ski resorts from Val d’isere to Courchevel. Most ski holiday makers have been worried with the exceptional mild November keeping snow at bay but as December rapidly draws to a close, skiers are breathing a sigh of relief at the recent downfall of snow across the Alpes.

So why is now a great time to take a skiing holiday? Well a recent survey conducted by Sainsbury’s Finance has found that only 20% of the skiers & snowboarders surveyed intended to take a winter holiday citing recent economic conditions for the reason not to go skiing. But that could mean good news for those who do intend to go skiing or anyone still making up their mind.

Firstly, this means that Ski Tour Operators are looking for ways to encourage skiers to the slopes so are offering great  ski holiday deals & offers. For example, Powder White Ltd are offering a FREE Ski Holiday in January 2012 with any chalet booked in March 2012.

Secondly (my favourite), the lack of skiers means that most resorts will not be packed to the rafters leaving more space on the slopes, less queues and cheaper prices. With most resorts reporting fresh powder, why wouldn’t now be a good time to take a skiing holiday?

Powder White Ltd specialise in Ski Holiday accommodation and are Atol bonded meaning they can help arrange flights, trains or transfers and organise all aspects of your holiday from ski hire & passes to childcare. Visit http://www.powderwhite.com to book online or call Dan on 0208 877 8888.
